Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Brunello di Montalcino Gualto Riserva
Variety composition: 100% Sangiovese.
Denomination: Brunello di Montalcino Riserva D.O.C.G..
Alcoholic strength: 15% vol.
Vintage: 2018.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, carmine red in color with evident, coherent garnet reflections.
It opens on the nose with a wide range of aromas of fine quality. The delicate floral notes are followed by intense hints of red pulp fruit, such as currants and hard cherry jam. Aromas embellished with notes of spices, sweet tobacco and grated chocolate and an important nuance of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub.
The sip is important, with an overall well-smoothed and silky tannic texture. A persistent aftertaste of ripe berries intertwined with a delicate note of orange peel remains in the mouth.
A wine destined for aging, but already now a product of great pleasure and elegance.
