Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Prunaio 2019 - Viticcio
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Gran Selezione Prunaio
Variety composition: 100% Sangiovese Grosso.
Denomination: Chianti Classico Gran Selezione D.O.C.G..
Alcoholic strength: 14% vol.
Vintage: 2019.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with an intense ruby red color with small violet reflections, with good consistency.
The nose opens with a range of aromas, broad and very elegant. The floral scents are followed by tense fruity notes of ripe plum, hard cherry and blood orange peel. It also offers delicate balsamic notes of Mediterranean herbs and a delicate mineral nuance.
The sip is important, supported by a strong but well-polished tannic texture. Well balanced in its components, it gives a persistent aftertaste of ripe fruit and sweet spices in the finish.
A long-lived wine, to be appreciated immediately or, for the more demanding, to drink with a further period of refinement. The wait will be well rewarded.
