“It has always been a dream of my father to have a cottage where he can meet up with friends on the weekend. That boy’s dream became reality when, in his early thirties, in 1969, he bought on the hills of Rosazzo, in the Colli The first vineyards are oriental. That farmhouse of that time has now become our administrative and production headquarters.
Since then, half a century has passed and those hills have turned into an open-air garden in one of the most beautiful and scenic hilly areas of the Colli Orientali del Friuli. The hills that embrace the Abbey of Rosazzo have historically always produced wines of extraordinary quality, testimonies speak that as early as 1400 the wines of this area crossed the Italian borders and in 1500 were served at the imperial table, and in great demand by patriarchs and ecclesiastics.
Entering Rosazzo is like entering a paradise, the magic, the colors, the scents and the rolling hills make this landscape unique, the vineyards are cultivated with art and wisdom and the particular climate with its breezes coming from the nearby sea Adriatic, make the wines of this area particularly exclusive and sought after”.

Vinification: the grapes were softly pressed whole by means of a pneumatic press and the must obtained was placed in a steel tank for 12 hours at a controlled temperature to clear up. The racked wine was fermented at a controlled temperature of 18° C. By means of constant and careful checks, the need for further racking or other cellar operations was assessed. The wine was then filtered and prepared for refermentation. Once selected yeasts and sugar in defined quantities were added to the base wine, it was bottled, capped with a bidule and metal crown cap. It remained to mature on the lees in the cellar for over 36 months. At the time identified it was placed on the pupitre to obtain the tip necessary for the complete cleaning of the bottle by expelling the precipitates formed by the refermentation. After performing the degorgement in february 2020, the bottle was capped and left to rest for a few months before being put on sale.
