RAMÓN BILBAO – LA RIOJA – SPAIN

Ramón Bilbao is a winery with a very long and ancient history. A story that dates back to the mid-1800s when Ramón, after various jobs, encouraged by an uncle who traded wine and wheat, moved to a small village in Rioja to grow vines. Despite the untimely death of his uncle and the arrival of the phylloxera that destroys the vineyards, Ramón day after day, year after year, builds his dream that leads him, in the 1920s, to create his own winery. In 1926, just five years after opening the winery, Ramón died, leaving his son Enrique to manage the company and the continuation of the dream which, as the company philosophy states: “is still alive today inside every bottle of Ramón Bilbao that awaits to be discovered”.
