Wine: I Fiori di Leonie
Variety composition: Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon, Friulano.
Denomination: D.O.C. Friuli Colli Orientali.
Alcoholic strength: 13.5% vol.
Vintage: 2019.
Production area: Colli di Novacuzzo (Colli Orientali).
Exposure: South, with East-West orientation of the rows.
Nature of the soil: “Ponca dei Colli Orientali”, marl and sandstone of Eocene origin stratified and formed in the upper part, broken up in the foothills.
Density of vines per hectare: Friulano, historic vineyard 1936 – 2,000 vines / hectare, Pinot Bianco – 3,500 vines / hectare, Sauvignon – 4,000 vines / hectare.
Training system: guyot.
Harvest: Pinot Bianco – first decade of September 2019, Friulano – second decade of September 2019, Sauvignon – third decade of September 2019. Manual harvest with careful selection of the grapes in the vineyard.
Vinification: The grapes, harvested at dawn, are softly pressed and vinified separately. The Sauvignon ferments at a controlled temperature in steel vats at 16 ° -18 ° C, the Friulano in large 25 hl Slavonian oak barrels and the Pinot Bianco in 225 liter oak and acacia barriques.
Aging and aging: the wines are aged separately for 9 months: the Sauvignon in steel vats, the Friulano in large 25hl Slavonian oak barrels, the Pinot Bianco in 225 liter oak and acacia barriques. At the end of this first maturation, the blend, which is born from the union of the 3 wines, ages in large Slavonian oak barrels of 25 hl for 9 months and for another 9 in the bottle.
Serving temperature: 10°-12° C.

Tasting Notes
Crystal-clear, straw yellow in color with a moderately golden texture, of good consistency.
On the nose the range of its aromas is quite complex, intense and of fine quality. Light floral note reminiscent of a freshly composed bouquet of white flowers, followed by a scent of fruity scents: ripe golden apple, yellow peach and apricot. Closing with a delicate citrus nuance.
On the palate the sample is fresh, perfectly balanced in its parts. Freshness and acidity invite you to repeat the sip. Persistent with a peach aftertaste.
A traditional white wine, which tells the story of the territory and its people.
Tried in combination with a turbot millefeuille.
