Sogno 2017 – Cantina Sant’Andrea

Sogno 2019 - Cantina Sant’Andrea
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Sogno
Variety composition: 85% Merlot, 15% Cesanese.
Denomination: Lazio I.G.T. Rosso.
Alcoholic strength: 14,5% vol.
Vintage: 2017.
Serving temperature: 18° – 20° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with a crimson red coat, good consistency.
The olfactory examination opens with delicate hints of geranium and violet, intertwined with intense aromas of small red berries such as blackcurrant and wild blackberry. The examination is completed by an addictive scent of chocolate bar, freshly ground coffee beans and sweet spices.
The sip is velvety, a caress for the palate. With important but well-polished tannins. Good olfactory taste persistence that gives an aftertaste of ripe fruit and vanilla.
