Brunello di Montalcino Vigna delle Raunate 2020 - Mocali
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Vigna delle Raunate
Varietal: 100% Sangiovese Grosso.
Denomination: Brunello di Montalcino D.O.C.G..
Alcoholic strength: 14% vol.
Vintage: 2020.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18°C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with a vivid and intense garnet red color, consistent.
The olfactory palette is broad and of fine quality. It opens with floral notes reminiscent of a pot pourri of wild violet flowers, followed by intense fruity hints of blackberry jam, dried plum and berry jelly. The bouquet of enveloping aromas is completed by hints of freshly roasted coffee, cocoa powder and in the finish hints of Mediterranean scrub.
The sip is opulent, well balanced in its components, with an important tannin, but perfectly integrated. An enveloping and persistent citrus aftertaste with a balsamic nuance remains in the mouth.
