Matematico 2021 - Cantina di Venosa
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Matematico
Variety composition: 70% Merlot, 30% Aglianico del Vulture.
Denomination: Basilicata D.O.P..
Alcoholic strength: 14,5% vol.
Vintage: 2021.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with an intense and lively carmine red color, good consistency.
It opens with a scent of fruity notes: blackberry, black cherry jam and dried plum. This is followed by addictive spicy notes reminiscent of cinnamon, cardamom and vanilla. The broad bouquet of aromas is completed by hints of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub and, in closing, a balsamic nuance.
The sip is pleasant, overall balanced, freshness and flavor give a sip of great pleasure. Good persistence of olfactory taste of ripe fruit and noble spices.
