Variety composition: 100% Barbera.

Alcoholic strength: 13.5% vol.
Vintage: 2017.
Soil: called ‘Asti sands’, it consists of clayey-calcareous marl of marine sedimentary origin, with a good presence of silt and sand, rich in microelements, in particular magnesium.
Exposure: south, south-west.
Altitude: 240 m a.s.l.
Production: 20 hl / ha.
Vinification: in steel tanks. 10 days of maceration in contact with the skins and soft wetting of the cap with the “shower” system at a temperature between 22 ° and 27 ° C.
Refinement: at least 16 months of refinement before being released on the market.
Tasting Notes
Clear, ruby red with purple reflections, consistent.
Fairly complex sample: floral, fruity and toasted. Hints of red flowers such as peony, dark berry fruits reminiscent of cherry, raspberry and plum, notes of tobacco and chocolate powder.
Sample with a moderate tannic texture, fairly balanced in its components, overall of fine quality.
It is recommended in combination with braised duck with turnips.
