Tasting Notes
Limpid, very intense ruby red color, consistent.
On the olfactory examination the bouquet of scents is ample and well defined. It opens with floral scents reminiscent of a pot pourri of slightly wilted red wildflowers, followed by an aroma of ripe fruit that recurs the durone cherry, dried plum and a note of small red berries. Toasting of precious woods and spicy notes reminiscent of carnation flowers and cinnamon close.
The sip is fresh, with an important tannic texture, which makes it a structured sample, supported by good acidity. Persistent, aftertaste of ripe fruit and sweet spices remain.
It is recommended in combination with a dish of callara sheep, a typical recipe of the Abruzzo tradition.
