Château Le Gardera

Written by Piero Pardini

CHÂTEAU LE GARDERA – BORDEAUX – FRANCE

The property takes its name from the Gardera family, which owned it during the reign of King Louis XIV.
Cordier, a wine merchant from Bordeaux, acquired the property in 1951. The company ceded the castle, preserving the vineyards.
Today, the winery is owned by the Gonfrier family. Philippe and Eric Gonfrier give expression to this rich terroir year after year. Perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Garonne River, this estate offers one of the most famous views in the region.
