Tasting Notes
Upon visual examination, the sample is limpid, of a lively ruby red with light garnet reflections, of good consistency.
The nose is intense, with a broad and complex spectrum of scents. It opens with floral notes reminiscent of a potpourri of red wild flowers, followed by aromas of small red berries and morello cherries in alcohol. Hints of pipe tobacco intertwine with notes of sweet spices and then close with a delicate nuance of coffee roasting.
Important sip, with still slightly aggressive tannins, which we will find nice smooth and silky with a further short period of refinement. Undoubtedly pleasant in its entirety, with a persistent finish of balsamic notes.
It is recommended in combination with a pork loin with prunes.
