Bodegas y Viñedos Ponce – SPAIN
The company, founded by Juan Antonio Ponce in 2005, currently owns 35 hectares of vineyards, aged between 35 and 85 years. The Bobal variety prevails over the others. The vineyards, cultivated in the traditional way, almost without chemical treatments and according to the philosophy of biodynamics, are located at about 820 meters above sea level, on clay-limestone soils, although limestone prevails in some plots.
Although it does not have biodynamic or organic certification, the work is carried out in this way, without artificial yeasts, chemicals and sulphur. The grounds are maintained with their natural vegetation cover of typical grasses of the area to protect the soil, conserve its moisture and improve nutrients.
