The winery is located a few miles from the Pacific Ocean, in San Luis Obispo County, California. The name, True Myth, was born from the desire to produce wines and cultivate vineyards that celebrate and indulge the wonder of Mother Nature, as well as the beauty of the evocative landscape that surrounds the vineyards.
Symbol of the “true myth” (hence the name of the company) and of the central coast, it is the monarch butterfly, among the endangered pollinators. We proudly support the Pollinator Partnership in its efforts to protect pollinators.
The monarch butterfly is a symbol of the Central Coast and truly legendary wines. During their annual winter migration, these magnificent butterflies grace the vineyards on the way to one of the largest monarch butterfly groves in the United States, Pismo State Beach (located just 15 minutes from the estate’s tasting room).
A celebration that the company also highlights in the packaging where the butterfly becomes iconic. The transformation of the butterfly, from caterpillar to winged beauty, perfectly represents the transformation of grapes – influenced by different soils, deep valleys and ocean air – into wine.
The company, through care and respect for nature, is increasingly committed to sustainable, quality red and white wine production.
