Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Bartolo Riserva
Varietal: 100% Primitivo.
Denomination: Gioia del Colle D.O.C..
Alcoholic strength: 16% vol.
Vintage: 2019.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18°C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with an intense ruby red color, good consistency.
On the nose it presents itself with a bouquet of intense scents and fine quality. It opens with floral notes reminiscent of rose petals and wild violets, followed by intense notes of ripe fruit in jam. The olfactory range is completed by aromas of licorice root, aromatic herbs and a nuance of spicy cinnamon.
The sip is a caress for the palate. Beautifully balanced in its parts, it offers an important tannin, but well-polished, almost silky. Good persistence of the aromatic taste of ripe fruit embellished with notes of sweet spices.
